DIY Wedding Flower Diaster

A while back I went with her to a wedding to act as her second shooter. As I was unloading the cameras, she came over to me and whispered, “Don’t tell them you are a florist!” Why? Because there was a major floral disaster happening in the kitchen of the bride’s home and my friend did not want to lose her second shooter if they enlisted me to help fix the problems. Sacramento Wedding- The Trust Factor

Recently I was asked by a bride to describe my favorite wedding. I thought of all the Northern California weddings I have designed flowers for over the years and I realized my favorite weddings had a sense of community and trust between the bridal couple and their hired wedding professionals. As a team the bride, groom and the professionals worked together to make a memorable event happen. Big or small budget didn’t really matter. It was the feeling of teamwork and trust that made the planning process and wedding day a joy. Continue reading

Wedding Terminology and Definitions- Wedding Flowers and Wedding Decor

The wedding world has an unique, and sometimes, confusing language. 12 wedding guest complaints (and how to avoid them): Part Two

The question “What are the most common complaints voiced by wedding guests?” floated through my pretty little head and I knew Lora Ward of A Day to Remember in Sacramento, Ca would be just the wedding maven to answer my burning question. Answer it she did! Not only did she give me a list of 12 of the most common complaints of wedding guests, not from the guests at any of her weddings, mind you, but she handily gives us solutions to said problems.
