Our wedding pretties come to you today from the nuptials of Tory and Erica. They had an amazing event at Newcastle Wedding Gardens and The Red Horse Barn in Newcastle, Ca.

Their wedding colors of shades of blue, shades of green and hints of platinum was amazing against the backdrop. The colors were cool and refreshing but still familiar and lent themselves beautifully to the vintage feeling of their wedding. Can I just say how cute the couple looked? I love everything about their ensembles. Sweetly formal without appearing stuffy they chose their wedding day finery well. They looked so happy and comfortable and perfectly at home in their venue.
Be Inspired: Choosing colorful shoes for your wedding day is a huge trend right now. I love this idea for so many reasons but mostly because you can wear your wedding day shoes again. It is important, I think, to be able to use items from your event after the event is over. Practical and ecologically friendly it just makes good sense. Plus colorful shoes on your wedding day adds a pop of color- Bonus!
How do I love this invitation suite? Let me count the ways… The vintage feeling font, the color palette, the envelope liner all combined to make an invitation I want to take home and frame so I can gaze upon it forever.
Erica’s bouquet was accented with a brooch from her Great-Grandmother.
Erica created the boards to display the escort cards herself. What a wonderful way to add an extra splash of color and pattern to your event decor.
Be Inspired: If you are going to display your escort cards outdoors you need to consider the wind factor. Attaching your cards to a display like this one is a great solution to a breezy problem.
The reception venue Red Horse Barn is a wonderful blend of new and old, rustic and chic. The barn is actually a refurbished barn originally built at the turn of the century as part of a working farm and ranch. I wonder what the original occupants would have said if they saw all of the amazing events taking place in their “barn”. Can’t you just see a overall clad farmer quizzically gazing at the satin table cloths and delicious food? Okay, maybe it is just me who can see him.
Erica collected the vases and containers used by her floral designer, Blooms by Martha Andrews, to make the centerpieces. Love this!
Be Inspired: Collecting and using recycled vases for the centerpieces is a great way to give your event a homey and lived-in feeling. Plus after the wedding you can then give the centerpieces away to family and friends. But the biggest added bonus is the minimizing of environmental impact. Because you are re-using and re-cycling your centerpieces will be ecologically friendly too.
Did I mention how much I love this color combination?
