Monte Verde Inn Auburn, Ca Wedding- John and Kristen

John and Kristen had the perfect spring wedding at The Monte Verde Inn a gorgeous wedding venue in the Sierra foothills by Auburn, Ca.  The wedding was photographed by the wonderful Sacramento photographer, White Daisy Photography*.

I just love the sweet details, glowing bride and happy feeling of this wedding.

Kristen sent me the story of her and John’s relationship:

“John and I were friends within a small group of people for over a year before we started dating. We would all hang out together for drinks, dinners, and confide in each other about our personal dating dilemmas. Before long, we realized that it was just John and I drinking, eating, and talking and the dating dilemmas somehow seemed to disappear.”

“On our first date, we had dinner overlooking the Sacramento River and there were fireworks in the sky, it was awesome!  Three years later when he proposed, he took me to the exact same spot where we saw those fireworks and told me that they never left him since we had been together.  I was speechless and could only nod my head- yes- because there were no words to describe how I was feeling.

I will never forget the day he asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. On our wedding day, I realized how lucky I am to begin my journey with my best friend.”

Their wedding day dawned with the threat of rain in the forecast.  Luckily, the rain held off and instead gave them blue skies and puffy white clouds.

One of the prettiest “wedding dress on the hanger” pictures I have ever seen.  Just stunning.

I just love a couple with a light hearted approach to their wedding.

Seriously, is anything more perfect than a clutch of pink peonies for a May wedding?
