I would like to introduce you to our photographer, Charleton Churchill. I stumbled on to his blog when he was just starting out as a full time photographer and I wasn’t even thinking about planning a wedding yet. I have thought from the very beginning that his artistic skills with a camera are amazing and he was the first person we hired when we got engaged.
At the end of January we did our engagement photos, and it such an amazingly fun day. We started out at my Aunt and Uncle’s home in Roseville. My Uncle has restored a 1950 Mercury that has been in the family since it was purchased. We did tons of photos with the Merc and around the property. We changed outfits and got even more great shots using the gardens and a borrowed tandem bike.

After a couple of hours at the house we drove to downtown Sacramento and took some really fun photos using the background of some of our favorite places. We started at Rick’s Dessert Diner, where Will and I had our first date, and then moved to some of the urban settings that were close to the area where we lived downtown.

Getting our photos back was so exciting. I literally did a little dance in our entry way when the package arrived. I am so excited to have Charleton photographing our wedding and I look forward to having something wonderful to look back on with our children and grandchildren.
