One of the small details one runs into when planning a wedding in an out of the way location is making sure everyone arrives to that location with minimal u-turns and stops at the gas station to ask for directions. While checking the directions given on the usual mapping sites (lets face it, we’ve all been given wrong instructions on how to arrive at our destination) I came across Bing.com Destination Maps.
Just input the address of your event, and Bing will “draw” a map of the area surrounding your event that includes the main roads that will get you there, water features, and a bright red “X” marks the spot. There are several different styles that can be chosen for the map. The maps can then be saved as a jpeg and uploaded on to websites or printed as part of your wedding invitations. So much easier than drawing the map yourself!
All of these maps I drew using the tools on Bing.com to the State Capitol. These are just some of the styles available.
