Delftware Wedding Theme- Northern California Wedding Decor

I happened to see this amazing dress from Dior’s 2009 Spring collection.  I love the pop of color and pattern.  But I especially love the fact that the pattern is Delftware inspired.   To learn more about Delftware pottery go here.

What a fabulous look to base a wedding theme around!

But first- the dress.  If you do not have the sky high stacks to buy a couture Dior wedding dress.  I offer you an alternate possibility.This dress from David’s bridal (on sale for 950.00) altered to be brought up in the front

and lined with this fabulous silk fabric from Spoonflower.

Now that we have you properly and fabulously garbed, what about your bridesmaids?Watters and Watters dress in Marine.  Love the pockets and the flowers.

With this bracelet from Etsy seller Swallowstale.  Totally stunning, right?

When working with theme it is important to not go overboard.  Just little pops of the Delftware pattern here and there would be enough to tie it all together and bring the theme home.  Because you TOTALLY want to avoid this!

The invitation is the first place your guests will get an indication of the formality, theme and look of your wedding.  It is also the perfect place to start developing theme.  These invites are just perfect for our Delftware theme.  From Etsy seller TwoYellowShoes.

Delftware wedding plate or tile are personalized with the wedding date and the couple’s names and imported by John Braat Company.  I could see the tile on the guest book table and the plate used at the cake cutting.

These cookies are made by Etsy seller, Whippedbakeshop and come individually wrapped in cello bags and tied with a bow.  They would make fabulous guest favors.
